Composer, Musician, Philosopher, Poetry. Louis 'Moondog' Hardin has been a major influence on contemporary music for the last 60 years. Inspiring everyone from Xmas Chart topper(*) John Cage to DJ Mr Scruff, Steve Reich to Janis Joplin, Deacon Blue to Simian Mobile Disco Moondog's music has always attracted eclectic musicians who've pushed boundaries.
To celebrate Moondog's music Scottish indie label SL Records has invited Moondog fans to re-record versions of Moondog's back catalogue. Over the next 12 months they will be releasing the fruits of this project

Set Three features analogue nutters 7VWWVW along with Rory McLeod giving Moondog the barber shop treatment, a hauting Burnt Island interpretation, SL stalward Greg Dodgson, Scottish singer MacGillivray and, coming to Moondog via the Appalachias, Sharron Kraus
The second tranche of Moondog tracks, a piece inspired by Moondog from Wounded Knee and covers from Dan Mutch, Drew McFadyn and Gordon Krieger.
