Paul Vickers and The Leg is a reckless amalgam of the lyrical maverick behind John Peel favourites Dawn of the Replicants and Dan Mutch's equally single-minded trio formed from the ashes of Khaya and Desc. Let's meet the guys!
Paul Vickers is best known for his work with wonk-rock juggernaut Dawn of the Replicants. Over a ten-year anti-career, the Replicants were voted best new band in Britain in The Times, scored a fistful of chart hits and two N.M.E Singles of the Week. Vickers recorded five albums and five John Peel sessions with the band. His songs have been playlisted on XFM and BBC 6Music; he has appeared on MTV's 120 Minutes and Alternative Nation; has performed at Glastonbury, Reading Festival, T In The Park and SXSW; and has played all over the UK, sharing bills with the likes of Clinic, Spiritualized and Arab Strap.
Paul has a back catalogue of over 400 songs and is a tireless song factory, day and night!
A lovable gonk / Da Vinci of lyrical invention.
Mojo
Paul Vickers' unique vocal hovers delightfully, occupying a self-effacing space somewhere between the sound of Nick Cave and Billy Corgan.

The Leg is the latest project showcasing the extraordinary talents of chameleon firebrand Dan Mutch. Previous umbrella organizations for Dan's outpourings have included Khaya and Desc – as championed by Steve Lamacq, John Peel and Jo Whiley.
Trusted shipmate and fellow Leggite / Khayan / Descist Pete Harvey is a classically trained cellist who also plays with the Rose St Quartet. Pete has collaborated and recorded with a multitude of artists, including legendary Can vocalist Damo Suzuki.
The third and final Leg is percussionist and man about town Alun Thomas. Alun has also played with Withered Hand, Thomas Truax, ballboy, and Saint Jude's Infirmary.
The Leg's live show involves sparklers, skeleton make up, felt masks and a shrunken Tina Turner voodoo doll.

Sweetly whimsical and plain weird, it proves that Vickers' magic powers are still intact
